Heathers Notes
I have always been interested in politics but it wasn't until 2000 when I retired from 42 years of full time employment, the latter 7 or so in Revenue Canada, Customs, that my focus turned to local government and their actions.
Since I was taking notes of the meetings I attended, I decided I should share them with others of like mind. Prior to my involvement, nothing changed for many years in Springfield. The old guard maintained the "status quo".
Change has only happened during the last 4 councils, led by Reeves Holland, McCarthy, Bodnaruk, and Fell, the majority being in the last 4 years.
And by the way, traditionally the Heads of rural councils have always been known as Reeves until the advent of Tiffany Fell who felt the title Mayor was more appropriate to her position.
All new council meeting notes posted twice per month at the middle and end of the month.
